Grumbug is here!

Adam, Troll and Oliver have been very busy recently...

Grumbug - the hilarious illustrated follow up to Troll and the Oliver - is finally here and to mark its arrival, Templar helped throw two terrific launch parties!

***

The first was held at the fantastic independent bookshop, the Book Nook in Hove, West Sussex, on Saturday 6th June. Adam Stower arrived ready to sign books, demonstrate how to draw Troll (who unfortunately couldn't make it to the event) and to give a nod of approval to some of our very own Troll cupcakes. Lots of fans turned up and a 'Troll-ific' time was had by all!

The second celebration was this month - a much bigger and grander industry launch for Grumbug at the stunning Illustration Cupboard in Bury Street, London.

Organised in conjunction with Arena Illustration, guests included Axel Scheffler, Jonny Duddle, Caroline Horn from the Reading Zone, Helen Boyle from WRD magazine and John Mclay from Bath Festival.

Because Troll, Oliver and Grumbug couldn't make it (we weren't entirely sure Grumbug would fit in the venue...) the walls were adorned with Adam’s illustrations of the trio from the Templar picture books.

Competition was high during the raffle in which three lucky winners had the chance to win signed copies of both books, and pieces of original artwork!

But it wouldn't have been a true Grumbug launch without cupcakes direct from Trolliver’s CafĂ© and the most fabulous – and enormous! – carrot cake to satisfy even the hungriest of trolls!

Troll and the Oliver

Every single day, little Oliver goes to the shops and every single day Big Troll tries to eat him up. But Troll finds catching an Oliver is much more tricky than he thought – Oliver is too fast, too sneaky and too plain clever!
Enter a mad cap world created by author and illustrator Adam Stower as we venture into the woods in search of a snack.
